ERIC SIDDALL RAISES $100,000 IN FIRST FEW WEEKS OF CAMPAIGN FOR LA COUNTY DA

Former LA County DA Union Vice President Eric Siddall Easily Doubles George Gascón’s War Chest

LOS ANGELES, CA — Today, immediate past Vice President of the Los Angeles Association of Deputy District Attorneys (ADDA) and current Los Angeles County deputy district attorney Eric Siddall announced he raised $100,000 during the first few weeks of his campaign.

In two weeks, Siddall easily doubled incumbent District Attorney George Gascón's fundraising total as of the most recent public report, despite Gascón announcing his intent to run over 10 months ago.

In announcing his fundraising efforts, Siddall issued the following statement:

“The outpouring of support for our campaign is a clear signal that L.A. County needs and wants change. Angelenos deserve a reliable partner in the district attorney’s office who protects the public while pursuing sustainable reform. I am incredibly thankful that they are entrusting me with the responsibility to lead L.A. County in a new direction.”

--Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Eric Siddall

Siddall just recently announced his candidacy after stepping down from serving nearly a decade as the union’s vice president.

The Los Angeles Times reported on his candidacy saying, “A thorn in Gascón’s side dating to his 2020 campaign, Siddall and the deputy D.A.’s union have been among Gascón’s most prominent foes.” Siddall vowed to combat gun violence and fight crime, restore competency and trust in the district attorney’s office, and institute sustainable, responsible reform.
